The rights of users and data subjects
With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right:
- to confirm whether data concerning them is being processed, information about the data being processed, further information about the nature of the data processing, and copies of the data (cf. also Art. 15 GDPR);
- to correct or complete incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR);
- to the immediate deletion of data concerning them (cf. also Art. 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary as stipulated in Art. 17 Para. 3 GDPR, to restrict said processing per Art. 18 GDPR;
- to receive copies of the data concerning them and/or provided by them and to have the same transmitted to other providers/controllers (cf. also Art. 20 GDPR);
- to file complaints with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the controller in breach of data protection provisions (see also Art. 77 GDPR).
In addition, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom it discloses data of any such corrections, deletions, or restrictions placed on processing the same per Art. 16, 17 Para. 1, 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Nevertheless, users have a right to information about these recipients.
Likewise, under Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the controller’s future processing of their data pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permissible.

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the same is not in breach of any statutory storage obligations or unless otherwise stipulated below.

To the extent that you communicate with us through our Facebook fan page or comment on or like our posts, we process your name and the content of your message or comment to respond to you.

You can object to this at any time (right of objection). For this purpose, a simple notification to us is sufficient.
We may share your data (e.g. name) with our customer service team to respond to you.

Facebook also processes your data. We have no influence on this.

Social media links via graphics
We also integrate the following social media sites into our website. The integration takes place via a linked graphic of the respective site.
The use of these graphics stored on our own servers prevents the automatic connection to the servers of these networks when our website is accessed. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic will the user be forwarded to the respective service.
After the user is forwarded, information about the user is collected by the respective network. This is initially data such as IP address, date, time, and page visited. If the user is logged into their user account of the respective network, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information of the specific visit to the user's personal account.
If the user interacts via a “share“ button of the respective network, this information can be stored in the user's personal user account and possibly published. If the user wants to prevent the collected information from being directly assigned to their user account, they must log out before clicking the graphic.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website.
This is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google.”
Google guarantees that it will follow the EU’s data protection regulations when processing data in the United States.
The Google Analytics service is used to analyze how our website is used. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our site.
Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, place, time, or frequency of your visits to our website will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.
We use Google Analytics with the anonymization function. This feature allows Google to truncate the IP address within the EU or the EEA before it is transmitted to the US.
The data collected is used by Google to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on internet activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet use.

Newsletter (MailChimp)
You can subscribe to our free newsletter via our website. The newsletter is sent via MailChimp, a service of the provider The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA.
If you register for our newsletter, the data requested during the registration process, such as your email address, name, and IP address, as well as the date and time of your registration, will be processed.
We also store the time of confirmation and your IP address as proof of consent.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or notifying us.

Each newsletter email sent via MailChimp contains a tracking pixel that reports whether and when you opened the email and which links you clicked. This data is stored so we can tailor future newsletters to your interests.
